sourced from the famous Kyoto prefecture which was known to be the capital of Japan for over a thousand years. Due to its status as an imperial city, a large amount of tea was cultivated in Kyoto, which still is arguably Japan’s center of tea knowledge. Shincha is an early plucking that arrives before the first flush teas made from tender young leaves. Shincha, when translated means New Tea and is highly revered in Japan as the arrival of Spring and with it a sign of a prosperous harvest season.

  • 3-4 times based on taste. Increase brew time by 30 seconds for each steeping.
