Raw Pu Erh is known as "living tea" because it continues to evolve and mature. Originating from Yunnan Province, its history dates back over a thousand years to the time of the ancient Tea Horse Road, where Pu Erh tea was transported to Tibet, Mongolia, and beyond.

Legend has it that traders would pack compressed Pu Erh cakes onto horseback for long journeys. During transit, the tea naturally fermented, leading to the unique aging process that defines Pu Erh today. The transformation of Raw Pu Erh over time, starting as fresh and grassy before mellowing into complex, honeyed, and woody flavors makes it one of the most sought-after teas among collectors.

The above brewing guide should be adjusted to suit your personal tastes and preferences. We recommend rinsing this tea for the best taste. You can do this by pouring water over the leaves at the above temperature and then discarding that water after a few seconds.
